EVENT OVERVIEW

Winter in the Domain is a festival experience held in The Domain, Sydney. The Domain will transform into a winter wonderland featuring a Big Top – a huge tent housing live performances from Australia’s best artists, and Winterpark – a space with rides and activities for the public and concertgoers to enjoy.

BIG TOP TICKETS

How can I purchase tickets?

Big Top concert tickets ON SALE NOW (available only online via Moshtix).

Entry for the Winterpark outside of concert times is free! For hours of operation CLICK HERE. To book ice skating or purchase ride multi-packs CLICK HERE.

Are the Big Top shows seated?

All Big Top shows are open standing (no seats). VIP ticket holders also have access to a raised seated platform with a view of the show.

What is included in the VIP ticket?

A VIP ticket offers you: a dedicated entry lane, express bar lanes and a raised seated platform with the ultimate view of the show when you want to take a break from the dancefloor. Pretty sweet!

Can Discover NSW vouchers been redeemed for tickets?

Discover NSW vouchers can be redeemed for a $25 discount. Just select a Discover NSW voucher ticket (GA or VIP) from the ticketing page and enter your 9 character Discover NSW code when checking out. Discover NSW vouchers cannot be redeemed for tickets already purchased.

I need ticket support! Can you help?

Tickets are sent out the 48 hours before the event. To access your ticket, log into your Moshtix account. Check Moshtix FAQs and if you require assistance, submit a Moshtix support request.

Can I name change / reissue a ticket?

Yes! Just log into your into your Moshtix account that the tickets were originally purchased through. Select the ‘Manage Tickets’ option, then select Reissue and follow the prompts to enter the new attendee’s details. Once the transaction has been approved, the reissued tickets will be sent to the email address specified on the reissue page.

Please note that name change / reissue carries a fee of $7 per ticket.

Why do you need name and contact details for tickets?

For contact tracing, we need to be able to contact everyone who attended the event. This is like doing the QR code check at your local café, your ticket will be your check-in.

How many tickets can you buy in one transaction?

You can purchase maximum of 10 tickets per transaction.

 

ICE SKATING TICKETS

How can I purchase tickets?

Ice skating tickets ON SALE NOW (available only online via Moshtix).

To secure your preferred session pre-book online via Moshtix. Limited sessions available for purchase at the Winterpark Ticket Booth.

Can Discover NSW vouchers been redeemed for tickets?

Discover NSW vouchers can be redeemed when purchasing ice skating tickets at the Winterpark Ticket Booth.

What restrictions are in place?

Ice skating at Winterpark is open to anyone aged 3+.

Age breakdown:
Adult (15+)
Child (6 – 14 years)
Toddler (3 – 5 years)

Toddlers must be supervised by a responsible guardian.
Customers impaired by alcohol will not be permitted on the rink.

Is ice skating accessible to all?

Yes, when booking please nominate your accessibility requirements and we’ll be in touch via email to arrange.

What is included in hire?

All skating packages (adult, child, toddler) include rental of skates and a helmet.
Skating balance aids (suitable for all ages) are available as optional add-ons at purchase.

Best to wear warm and comfortable clothes.

Where can I store my belongings when skating?

You can store your belongings in the common area where you change into your skating apparel and equipment.

How long is each session?

Each session is 45 minutes. They occur on the hour, with the final 15 minutes allocated to cleaning the ice ready for the next session.

Can I book a double session?

You can book multiple sessions however you will need to vacate the ice for 15 minutes in between the sessions to allow ice to be cleaned for the next session.

What facilities are available?

The Winterpark includes:

  • A number of rides including an ice-skating rink
  • A range of food stalls that will include vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options
  • Fully licensed bars selling a range of alcoholic, low alcohol and alcohol-free drinks
  • Merchandise stalls selling performing artist’s merchandise

BYO?

In the Winterpark outside of concert times BYO food and drinks (non-alcoholic only) is permitted.

During concert times in the Winterpark and Big Top BYO food and drinks is prohibited.

Winter in the Domain is a fully licensed event with a range of food and drink options to suit all preferences and dietary requirements.

All attendees (of any age) are required to have a ticket purchased in their name. This is in line with the current public health order that includes people of all ages in total venue capacities. Under 18s MUST be accompanied by an adult.

WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS?

The show must go on! Winter in the Domain will proceed rain, hail or shine. Best to dress weather appropriate as while the Big Top is undercover, the Winterpark is open-air.

DO YOU HAVE A CLOAK ROOM?

There will be a will be a Cloak Room available at no charge.

WHAT HAPPENS TO LOST PROPERTY?

Lost property will be held at the Cloak Room for the duration of the festival. If you have lost something, CLICK HERE to register your details and get information about collection.

WHAT FORM OF ID IS ACCEPTED?

You will need one of the following IDs on arrival and on your person throughout the event:

  • Driver or rider licence or permit that has been issued by either an Australian State or Territory or by any foreign country (must contain a photograph)
  • NSW or SA Digital Driver Licence
  • NSW photo card
  • Proof of age card that has been issued by a public authority of the Commonwealth, or of another State or Territory with the purpose of attesting to a person’s identity and age
  • Australian passport, or a passport from any foreign country
  • Keypass ID card issued by Australia Post

IS THIS EVENT ACCESSIBLE FOR ALL?

We have made several provisions to ensure our events are accessible to all. These include:

  • a complimentary carer ticket*
  • raised seated viewing platform**
  • accessible entrance lanes and toilet facilities

*To request a carer ticket, you must hold a valid NSW companion card and email [email protected] with your booking details to arrange.

**At point of purchase customers can nominate their need for access to accessible facilities.

GETTING THERE

The Domain is conveniently located in the heart of the city. We are close to Martin Place, St James and Museum stations. The Domain Car Park is next to the venue for those who want to use private transport.

Whichever option you chose please travel COVID-19 safe and wear a mask on public transport, Ubers and taxis and whenever you can’t socially distance.

HOW ARE THE SHOWS COVID SAFE?

Winter in the Domain has a COVID-19 Safety Plan and is registered as a COVID Safe business. This event is operating under the current health order which includes a limited capacity of 5,000 patrons.

The precinct layout ensures minimal crowding and maintaining a safe, open environment. Our food, drink and toilet facilities are separated around the event site to reduce queuing with COVID marshals alleviating points of congestions. Bars, merchandise and food stalls will have contactless payment only. Hand sanitising stations will be available throughout the venue. High contact areas have designated cleaners.

Patrons and staff will not be permitted into the venue if they are displaying symptoms or have been to a current case location. All patrons and staff will be required to complete a questionnaire before attending the event and will not be permitted into the venue if they are displaying symptoms. Patrons and staff will be encouraged to wear masks where social distancing is not possible. Winter in the Domain will be doing 100% contract tracing of all customers, staff and performers before they enter the event site.

Patrons must abide by the directions of the COVID-19 team, failure to do so may result in eviction.
